Word for the day "Run for Jesus"

Hebrews 12:1-3 (NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.I wonder have you noticed, its one thing to prepare to do a function in private and quite another to go forth amidst an audience. Often when I prepare a message to Preach in private, for some reason when I go forth before God and the people of God things are quite different. I would have a burst of energy that I could kind of tap into and really take off for the Lord! I have discovered in recent times in so many areas of my life that I always did better when there was an audience, (Playing sports, preparing for exam and in the middle school band). All of a sudden I would feel a little more energetic; especially when there was a pretty girl watching (Can you say Amen). As believers of God in the race of life, we, too, have an audience: the Lord Jesus. Hebrews 12 reminds us, “Since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. And we do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith” (verses 1–2). Can you imagine the Lord is watching us do life and the great Bible hero’s and shero’s, and please don’t forget our family members who have died in the Lord they are cheering us on in the crowd of witnesses. So family of God, let us run with endurance, keeping our eyes on Jesus. You see, the life in God is not a sprint; it is a long marathon run. So we have to think of the big picture. Here is how to run the race well. Here is how to run it according to the rules. Here is how to run it with joy. Run it for Jesus. Don’t run it for people and especially not to impress them. Don’t run it out of mere obligation. But remember for sure, you have an audience: The Lord Himself is watching you, and the crowds of heavenly witnesses are cheering you on so Run for the Lord. Blessings and love to you all have a fantastic day!
