Word for the day "Forgiven for Real"
Luke 5:24 (NLT) So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.”Many of us struggle with a sense of guilt that won’t go away, even after we have confessed our sin and know in our minds that we are forgiven. It’s hard sometimes too hard to accept that God has forgiven us. When you ask God to forgive your sin, He really does for real. The Bible says he removes your sin “as far as the East is from the West” (Psalm 103:12). Do you know what that means? It means that the second time you ask forgiveness for a sin you already asked, God says, “What sin?” Because He already erased the sin from your record, forever.Mistakes aren’t openings and sources of shame in your life; they are openings and sources for grace. God’s grace is not reserved solely for our salvation only. God gives his grace to us day in and day out. Understanding God’s ways for our carnal minds is real tough to embrace, but it is the truth of the Bible.Your weakness or failure shouldn’t disqualify you or discourage you from making an effort in the first place. Don’t think: If I try harder, I will never fail again. Instead, think: Even though failure’s a possibility, by God’s grace, I will go forward. If you find yourself struggling with accepting God’s forgiveness, try this: Seek out someone like a: spouse, your children, or a good friend, a co-worker, a family member, who you need to forgive or they need to forgive you, just go for it and be reconciled whether they accept or reject you. If you need some help, search the Bible; it’s loaded with stories and instruction on forgiveness. “Forgiven for Real” have a marvelous day!
