Word for the day: "Patience"

I Thessalonians 5:14 (NASB) We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. This life we live demands patience, and lots of it! We live in an imperfect world and we live among imperfect people (And you and I are a part of the imperfection). Sometimes, we inherit troubles from others, and sometimes we create trouble for ourselves. In either case, the demand that’s required is “Patience”. I don’t know about you, but this is a word from the Lord for my life!!!Lamentations 3:25-26 reminds us that, “The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him and seek him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord”. But, for most of us, waiting quietly for God is significantly difficult. Why? Because we are imperfect human beings, and many times we are quick to anger and sometimes slow to forgive. (Embedded in patience is forgiveness did you know that?)The next time you find your patience tested to the limit, remember that the world unfolds according to God’s timetable, not ours (I can’t believe I am writing this today sisters and brothers). Sometimes, we must wait patiently, and that’s as it should be. After all, think how patient God has been with us. One of the many things I love about God is that you can start all over again in the Grace and power of God. How about it? Start all over with me today and let’s pray and walk in the influence of “Patience”Quote: Billy Graham-“As we wait on God, He helps us use the winds of adversity to soar above our problems. As the Bible says, “Those who wait on the LORD . . . shall mount up with wings like eagels"Elder Baker
