Word for the day "The Victory is Final"

^{I Corinthians 15: 57 (NIV)} But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵⁸ Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.The satanic forces of death and evil were working up to the max of Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross, where it seemed they had won the final victory. But the resurrection of Jesus proved God’s power over the very nature of evil. The many responses to the news of Jesus’ resurrection reflect the kinds of responses we see today when the gospel message is shared. How have you responded to the call for a new life in Jesus?For all intensive purposes it would have appeared to anyone seeing through eyes of flesh that the darkness, the devil, and death had defeated the Son of God once and for all. I will admit to you that those three Ds lie at the heart of almost every worry I (we) suffer. I worry about death, in particular, the death of the people I love and have loss. We can worry about darkness, both seen and unseen. We can also worry about what the devil is up to while he is roaming to and fro in the earth (Job 1:6).The devil, darkness, and death, all three worked diligently throughout the ministry of Jesus to bring about this long and agonizing day. But what no one could see was that the Messiah’s death would strike at the very power of evil. Just think about it? Three days after Jesus was placed in the grave, on Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene and a group of women made their way to the tomb. As they approached, they saw that the stone had been tossed aside. Mary Magdalene immediately ran to tell Peter and John: The bible says “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him" (John 20:2)They stood in awe for several moments, until they realized that two angels appeared behind them. One sat on the stone while the other stood nearby. “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has been raised!” (Luke 24:5-6) When John arrived, he stopped at the entrance and looked inside. Peter ran straight into the tomb and was shocked by what he saw. Joining Peter inside the tomb, I like to think that John whispered, “He’s alive!” says (Chuck Swindoll in his Book “Not to worry He is Risen)As word went out, a multitude began to assemble at a home in Jerusalem. With the doors locked shut, a familiar voice rose from the middle of the room. “‘Peace be with you.’ And when Jesus had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side” (John 20:19-20). And they believed. So what do you think happen? Or, have you come to realize your need for a Savior? If so good for you! The devil, darkness, and death can have its day now just a little while longer, but the forces of evil are breathing their last breath in the earth.
