Word for the day: "One thing Equals Everything"
Today's Word-Cup is brought to you by a family friend and Covenant Partner in the Ministry, Pastor Vincent Grimsley. Enjoy and be blessed!Isaiah 46:11(b) (NKJ) "In deed I have spoken it, I will bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it."Abraham is known throughout the Bible as the "Father of faith." His obedience to God's initial call to leave his family and home to a strange land demonstrated the ultimate level of faith. Now what's most intriguing regarding this divine challenge is the one condition which resulted in 7 promises.God asked Abraham to leave. That's it. Just leave. Maybe God is not as complicated and mysterious as we make Him out to be. Could it be we just need to get acquainted with His voice and His word? Now He promised Abraham if he would leave, then God would bless him, cause his name to be great, make him a great nation, would bless them that bless him, curse those that curse him, make him to be a blessing and all the families of the earth will be blessed. Is that a deal or what! Abe was like, "ok, let me get this straight. You are saying if I do this "one" thing You're going to do all those things? And God's word says all His promises are good. So when Abraham departed, God fulfilled all His promises. We use to sing a song which says; Father Abraham had many sons. Many sons had father Abraham. I am one of them and so are you. Are you singing? What could be the "one" thing that you know our Father has asked or is asking of you? Perhaps you already know, or thought you already did it. Please take a moment to reflect. God has so many more blessings for you than you think. It is His good pleasure to prosper you and those connected to you. I just encourage you to step out in faith and obey that same voice who spoke to Abraham.I don't know what God has told you, but I can tell you what He said! If He spoke it, He will do it! If I ordained it, it will come to pass! He may have said go, stay, yes, no, start, end or even silence which is a word. However, your challenge today is to do that "one" thing and watch all these "other" things be added unto you! That's sure some strange math.Pastor Vincent GrimsleyThe Stone Church, Newark, NJ
