II Corinthians 5:7 (ESV) for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Isn’t it amazing that at moments when we are most vulnerable, we position ourselves to experience the majesty of God. Too often we can be so unaware of His presence and reality in our lives. So much of knowing the Lord is trusting in His majesty even when we are not able to comprehend intellectually the Lord’s ways.
God is wiser than we can comprehend, more immense than we are comfortable with, and merciful beyond the reaches of our imaginations. Yet the marvelous thing is the Lord is there for us! Walking by faith does not mean you always understand every step of the way, it means you have the faith in God to walk anyway. So keep on walking by faith with the Lord and trust that all things are working together for your good!
Point to ponder- The Lord is also the One through whom everything makes sense. So don’t mistakenly think that faith is the result of understanding alone. It’s quite the opposite; Faith is the basis for understanding. Godly faith is relational as in walking with the Lord! Have a wonderful day in this Lenten season.
