Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

When Paul established the church at Ephesus, it was his intent for the believers to understand they had the power to withstand the attacks of the enemy, Satan. Church leader Paul wanted them to know that they could stand firm in their faith and refuse to yield to sin and thoughts of defeat in their lives. They had been given spiritual weapons more powerful and effective than the enemy’s. Did you know we have access to all that we need to defeat our primary enemy Satan?

But first Paul had to instruct those at Ephesus to understand they were not strong enough on their own to resist Satan’s temptations and tactics. God’s power and strength empowered them to rebuke the wiles of the devil. Paul explained to the Ephesus Church that they needed to use weapons of spiritual warfare on a regular basis. It was God who protected them and the Lord protects us, but one way God does this is through believers daily putting on the full armor of God. One of our greatest challenges we all face, is being consistent in our relationship with the Lord. However, the truth of the matter if you are still alive and reading today’s message “You are a Survivor”

Point to ponder- As an survivor, always keep this truth in mind: You are not fighting for victory, you are fighting from a position of victory. Christ has secured the victory for you, and our Lord offers you this victory through the spiritual armor of God. The victory is yours when you are prepared for warfare. In this Lenten season whatever you may be challenged with; remember “You are a Survivor”.
