John 11:38 (NKJV) Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying.[d] And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
Are you tired, have you grown weary from the challenges in your life? There is hope at the cross for you. God is in the business of turning hopeless situations around. Remember, Lazarus had been in a grave for four days, his family was in mourning when Jesus showed up and called him back from the place of the dead. The Lord can resurrect whatever is dead in your life as well!
God can make something of the ashes that we bring to Him- (Isaiah 61:3) tells us that “He will give us beauty in exchange for ashes.” We need to stand firm in our faith and never give up or give in to the belief that the Lord cannot redeem us or the situations we find ourselves in. Just wanted to remind and encourage someone today “Never give in” great people of God!
Point to ponder- Perseverance-it’s born of faith, it’s nourished by hope and it’s a sure sign of strength of character. Whatever the challenge you are facing in your life “Never give in “
