Word for the day “We are still Here”

Ecclesiastes 8:8 (NLT) None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.
Point to Ponder: When it comes to the length of your life, what do you consider long enough?

On October 12, 2010, my beloved Mom transitioned from this life here on earth. I’ll always remember she use to call me daily and say “Hi Son, we are still here, thank God” Now I am saying to those close to me, We are still here” and I remember Mom!

Until Mom migrated from this life at 74 years young, Shirley Baker considered every day a gift and she was right! Whether you’re twenty-two years old or ninety, life is precious and should never be taken for granted. None of us are born with a guaranteed number of days on this earth. We have no guarantees that we will be here tomorrow and should realize that each moment is priceless. In acknowledging each day as a grace and gift from God, we will be more likely to make the most of the time that we are given.

Start each morning by thanking the Lord for the day He has given you. Then spend that day, as if you meant what you said. “We are still Here”

Prayer: Bless you for the little things Lord You do in thoughtful ways,Bless You for the way you’ve brightened up so many days; Bless You for Your giving Spirit, as kind as it can be, Bless You in a thousand ways for truly blessing me, In Christ name Amen!
