Word for the day “Prayer Time”

I Timothy 2:1 (NLT) I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

Sisters and brother’s where do you go when life just doesn’t make sense?  When a gunman opens fire in an elementary school?  And the inner cities of our society gunfire is a serious problem. How about when planes crash into buildings?  When a loved one betrays you?  When you feel deep pain and experience trauma that wasn’t your fault?

It’s so easy to blame God for not preventing it and to get angry yes angry at God!  It’s a natural, human response. And after that expression of anger and frustration, then what?

Too often the tendency is to run or turn away from God.  If you find yourself there, I plead with you today, don’t turn from God.  Run to God.  Too often in life we spend time running from things and we don’t run towards anything.  This is the time to look to God and reach out like never before. Many of our young people are trapped in a unrealistic world and life of virtual sensationalism.

If you want to be a part of the solution join me in prayer for our World and Nation tonight!  That’s what our nation is experiencing right now as we watch parents and young children, so much confusion and no direction for their lives. So let us hug our kids closer and tighter, we weep, we grieve and we pray. Some of the ages of our kids today are between the ages of 20 and 30 and that’s a fact! So let us Pray tonight for 20 Minutes as this year 2012, gets close to ending. Thanks in Advance for your support and love!
